WHICH PICTURE IS A TRUE REPRESENTATION OF THE ORIGINAL AND WHICH IS NOT?

Obviously, the picture on the left is a true representation of the original while the picture on the right has Da Vince’s countenance pasted over it and is not. Life; however, often requires a closer examination to correctly determine what is true and what is not true.

Your perceptions of reality and beliefs, to use a metaphor, are the artwork of your mind. Some of that art you painted yourself and some was gifted to you by parents, teachers, the media, peers, etc… which you kept.

Reality is the ultimate art critic deciding which of your perceptions are accurate, which are only partially true, and which are false. If your life is to be ultimately meaningful, aligning your perceptions of reality and beliefs with reality is essential.

WHAT DO YOU BELIEVE, WHY DO YOU BELIEVE IT, AND WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?

A person’s perceptions and beliefs influence their decisions, choices, and behavior. This, in turn, affects others. Ultimately, people affect each other, society, and the world.

A person’s beliefs about the most significant issues of life, such as God or gods or the lack of, the cosmos, knowledge, values, humanity, science, and history, form a grand perspective on life and the world. This big picture is called a worldview.
