Evangelism

Everyday we have an opportunity to share Christ with someone that may never know Him. Many feel that sharing Christ is difficult with those they do not know. However, it simply takes a few minutes to make friends with someone who you can introduce to Jesus.

Step 1 - Preparation

Be sure that you are a Christian. If you are not sure, take a moment and work through the following:

1. The first thing you must do if you want to be saved is to acknowledge that you are a sinner in need of a savior and that no good deeds that you do can gain you access into Heaven.

2. Then believe that Jesus is the son of God and He alone has the power to forgive your sins.

3. Ask Jesus to forgive your sins and to indwell you with His Holy Spirit. You could pray a prayer just like this: Lord, Thank You for dying on the cross and taking my punishment for my sins. I know that I could never be fit for Heaven without You. So I invite You to come into my life and be my Lord and my Savior.

4. After you have done this be sure to find a good church and begin reading the Bible.

Step 2 - Learn How to Evangelize

Yes you can begin evangelizing activities immediately. However, you should take a reputable course in evangelism to develop a foundation that will help evangelize safely and effectively. Step 3 - Final Thoughts

We highly suggest that you work with a good local church or organic fellowship that can include you in their activities, support you with further education, and pray for you.

Be sure you have a basic understanding of spiritual warfare which, first and foremost, is understanding that you are greatly loved and accepted by God so deeply you could never earn it. The devil will try to directly or indirectly through other people attempt to deceive you on this matter and make you feel guilty, unworthy, labeled by your sins rather than your position in Christ but God completely forgives you and chooses to remember your sins no more while loving you more than you can ever understand in this lifetime. Your position in Christ is one of love, acceptance, and forgiveness. Accept it and don't let the devil deceive you anymore.

The devil also attacks your image of yourself lying and telling you God loves others more than you and you aren't gifted and look at all the billions of people surely God uses better than you, etc... These also are lies of the devil which you can disregard. God does not love like people. He doesn't play favorites. He loves you as much as Billy Graham. Don't let the devil deceive you any longer and understand that this is just a much a part of spiritual warfare as putting on the whole armor of God, engaging in intercessory prayer and practicing spiritual gifts.
